Join Our Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner in Cardiothoracic Surgery Springfield, OH Are you a skilled Nurse Practitioner with a passion for cardiothoracic or vascular surgery? We are seeking a highly qualified Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide premium coverage at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This vital role offers the opportunity to contribute to complex surgical care, work alongside experienced cardiovascular surgeons, and make a meaningful impact on adult and geriatric patient populations. In this dynamic position, you will support coronary and vascular surgical procedures, assist with patient care coordination, interpret diagnostic tests, and participate in OR and ICU/CVICU call responsibilities. Reporting directly to the Cardiovascular Surgeon, you will be integral to a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering excellent patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Required Skills: Active Nurse Practitioner license with cardiothoracic, vascular, or critical care experienceProven clinical experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery settingsAbility to interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate comprehensive patient careStrong communication and teamwork skillsCompetency with EMR systems, preferably EpicNice to Have Skills: Experience with vein harvesting and vascular tissue retrievalPrior OR and ICU/CVICU call experienceFamiliarity with adult and geriatric patient care in surgical contextsPreferred Education and Experience: Master's degree or higher in NursingMinimum of 2 years' experience in a cardiothoracic or vascular surgical settingNot suitable for new graduatesOther Requirements: Credentialing process completion expected within 60-90 days, with potential temporary privileges in approximately 45 daysAbility to work scheduled coverage from April through July, with specific dates to be confirmedWillingness to participate in OR and ICU/CVICU call rotationsValid certification in BLS and ACLS requiredTravel, licensure, certification, and other applicable reimbursements providedThis is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
