Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license with authorization to practice in AlaskaExperience in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fieldsAbility to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health AssessmentsStrong verbal communication skills and attention to detailComfortable conducting interview-based assessments, including physical examinations like range of motion and muscle strength testingAbility to work independently in a clinic settingWillingness to follow standardized protocols and complete required documentation accurately and timelyNice to Have Skills: Prior experience with veterans' health assessments or military-related examinationsFamiliarity with medical report writing and administrative documentationMultilingual skills or additional certifications related to medical assessmentsPreferred Education and Experience: Graduate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related fieldsPrevious experience with compensation and pension exams is advantageous but not mandatoryOther Requirements: Must have own office location within specified radius for designated sites (Juneau, Sitka, Delta Junction)Local candidates preferred; traveling is included in ratesAvailability to start on 03/06/2026Ability to work on a PRN basis, performing both half-day and full-day examsNo prescribing or treatment responsibilities involvedQuick credentialing and onboarding processThis is a rewarding opportunity to serve those who have served our nation.
