Position Overview The Overnight Grocery Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the department manager to achieve sales and profit goals. This position involves restocking the store during overnight hours, enhancing customer confidence, and maintaining product freshness. Our associates deliver prompt, courteous service while fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service (70%): Create an inviting atmosphere for customers, ensuring they feel valued and appreciated. Maintain merchandising standards in the department, ensuring product availability, freshness, and compliance with inventory management procedures. Assist customers in locating products and make appropriate suggestions. Team Collaboration (10%): Foster trust and respect among team members through effective communication and teamwork. Adhere to all relevant laws, guidelines, and company policies. Inventory Management (10%): Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, report discrepancies, and ensure product quality. Follow food safety guidelines for proper storage temperatures and complete necessary documentation. Safety and Compliance (10%): Uphold company safety standards, food handling practices, and sanitation protocols. Execute product recalls and manage safety inspections to maintain a safe working environment. Additional Responsibilities: Perform any related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: High School diploma or GED. Experience: Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred, but not mandatory. Must be at least 18 years of age. Authorization to work in the United States. Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities. Working Conditions: This position includes physical demands such as standing, walking, lifting, and handling various loads. Employees may be required to work in various climates, including cold and wet conditions. Personal protective equipment must be used as needed.
