About the Role: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various direct resident care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), supports activities and programs, and provides essential care as needed, following standard nursing practices and procedures. Responsibilities: Obtain vital signs, record findings, and notify the supervising nurse of any deviations in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP). Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, skin care, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and positioning. Provide medication assistance, as applicable, with proper training and delegation. Support residents with ambulation, transfers, and positioning, including wheelchair use and bed mobility. Assist with making beds, changing linens, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Complete progress notes and documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following the resident's service plan. Report changes in residents' conditions to the supervisor, follow infection control procedures, and adhere to standard safety precautions. Demonstrate a respectful, compassionate attitude toward residents and their personal property. Follow dress code standards, provide proper notice for absences or tardiness, and comply with all community policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned within the CNA scope of practice. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Completion of a skills competency evaluation required. Ability to read, write, and comprehend English. Must complete a minimum of 12 hours of in-service education annually. Must pass a criminal background check, not be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry, and have reliable transportation.
