Job Description Now hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk in Sacramento, CA - Apply now! Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk Pay Rate: $22/hr. Shift: AM Benefits: Medical, Dental, AD&D, PSL Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for supporting the company s financial operations by ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and account reconciliations. This role also assists with accounts receivable functions, including billing, payment application, and resolving discrepancies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work collaboratively across departments. Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable (AP): Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and proper approval Prepare and issue payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in a timely manner Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures Accounts Receivable (AR): Prepare, review, and post customer invoices Apply customer payments, credits, and adjustments accurately Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collections efforts Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies with customers and internal teams Additional Duties: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Assist with month-end closing activities Support audits by providing required documentation Collaborate with internal teams to improve billing and payment processes Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required;Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred 1 3 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Work Environment: Office setting with standard business hours May require occasional overtime during peak periods Full Steam Staffing will consider qualified applicants with a criminal history pursuant to the California Fair Chance Act.
