Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator The Warehouse and Logistics Coordinator supports daily logistics, inventory control, and material handling operations to ensure products move efficiently through the facility. This role operates warehouse equipment, manages shipment processing, communicates with internal and external partners, and helps maintain accurate and organized inventory and documentation. This is a Direct Hire opportunity located near Lake Zurich, IL. Responsibilities: Operate a variety of material?handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, dollies, trailer restraints, dock plates, and wrapping/banding tools. Load and unload trucks and vans safely and efficiently. Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and staging of materials for shipment. Create shipping documents for domestic and international orders. Receive incoming shipments, update records, and issue required documentation. Track shipments from origin to destination and update internal systems with status changes. Research and resolve Over, Short, and Damage (OS&D) discrepancies. Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory as needed. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper material flow throughout the warehouse. Review vendor routing requirements and update customer accounts accordingly. Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure shipments move on schedule. Provide transportation options, quote freight rates, and arrange deliveries when required. Support trade compliance tasks by researching requirements and ensuring documentation accuracy. Prioritize urgent ("hot") loads and monitor their progress through completion. Troubleshoot shipment delays, service issues, and system errors while documenting resolutions. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to maintain smooth logistics operations. Monitor logistics performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost. Work within various logistics platforms, including TMS, WMS, and other supply chain systems. Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow 5S principles. Follow all safety, quality, environmental, and corporate policies. Perform physical job duties such as bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the day. Requirements: Basic verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast?paced setting. Experience in logistics coordination or a similar warehouse role. Knowledge of transportation regulations, customs processes, and industry standards. Proficiency with logistics systems such as TMS and WMS. Strong problem?solving, negotiation, multitasking, and prioritization skills. Ability to analyze data and make effective operational decisions. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and respond professionally to customer inquiries.
