Inventory Control Specialist

Job Summary Our client is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to join their team. The primary responsibilities include managing inventory procedures, performing mathematical calculations, and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform inventory management tasks and follow procedures. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail. Receive and participate in hazardous chemical training. Enhance skills through cross-training in inventory control tasks. Make decisions regarding inventory adjustments or shipment priorities. Function effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Facilitate shipping via Federal Express and other carriers. Qualifications High school education with reading and writing skills. Simple mathematical calculation ability. Computer proficiency in Windows environment. Knowledge of proper material handling techniques. Skills Ability to handle 40lbs independently and 100lbs with assistance. Frequent movement activities such as twisting, lifting, bending, and stooping. Correctable eyesight to 20/20 and standard level hearing. Safe operation of a dolly, dock plate, pallet jack, and platform truck post-training. Use of electric pallet jacks and forklifts (preferred). Experience with Excel and Word for Windows reporting (preferred). Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
