Mammography Technologist

Job Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Houston, TX Duration: 03 Months (Contract extensions) Shifts: Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM Hours per week: 40 hours Description: Overview: Perform diagnostic and screening mammography, DEXA, and related radiology procedures. Ensure image quality, patient safety, and compliance with QC/MQSA standards. Provide compassionate patient care and collaborate with radiologists and staff . Key Responsibilities: Perform mammography, DEXA, and radiographic studies per physician orders Maintain equipment, perform QC tests, and document compliance Use RIS/PACS systems accurately and troubleshoot issues Apply radiation safety and sterile techniques Educate and support patients during procedures Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, and team members Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program (Associate’s preferred) ARRT (R)(M) MRT certification, BCLS required 40 hours ARRT-approved mammography training 2+ years mammography experience (SCNB experience preferred) Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and patient-centered care Preferred Attributes: Proficient in 2D/3D mammography, diagnostic views, spot compression Knowledge of QC/MQSA requirements Compassionate, trauma-informed patient care Strong communication and teamwork skills
