Mailroom Clerk

Description Ogawa Fisher Architects is seeking a mailroom clerk to join our team. You will be experienced in handling and processing of all mailroom activities. The Mailroom Clerk supports essential communication processes by accurately handling and processing mail in compliance with facility policies and safety standards. As a Mailroom Clerk at Ogawa Fisher Architects, you are a worksite expert and an efficiency advocate. You'll make an everyday impact by ensuring that critical correspondence and supplies are sorted and delivered to their intended recipient. Responsibilities: Sort and collate incoming and outgoing mail. Distribute mail to appropriate departments. Weigh mail to determine the correct postage. Record mail. Use fax and scanning machines. Time/date stamp all incoming/outgoing mail. Provide information and responses to inquiries regarding routine mailroom procedures. Deliver outgoing mail each afternoon to the post office. Assist in preparing various forms related to the processing of detainee correspondence and mailroom functions. Prepare outgoing mail for shipping. Processing all incoming and outgoing mail. Sort incoming mail for distribution. Skills: Knowledge of mailing/postage machine. Good computer skills. Good communication skills. Team Player. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Requires regular pushing and pulling of mail carts. Requires long periods of walking and standing. Valid driver's license. Requires lifting 25lbs in certain cases.
