Material Handler The Material Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time to support engineering and prototype build activities. While build schedules and priorities are defined by Lab Managers or Technical Project Managers, this role focuses on material readiness, BOM validation, part tracking, and kitting coordination to enable successful execution of early-phase hardware builds. This is a hands-on, detail-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced R&D environments and can proactively align material planning and process improvements with dynamic engineering needs. Responsibilities Ensure material readiness to support engineering and prototype build activities. Validate BOM and track parts to enable successful execution of hardware builds. Coordinate kitting processes for early-phase hardware builds. Align material planning and process improvements with dynamic engineering needs. Essential Skills Proficient in planning skills. Experience with manufacturing part processes. Ability to plan materials efficiently. Experience in logistics and supply chain management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with SAP is highly desirable, though training is available. Forklift driving experience is advantageous. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime may be available during busy times. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
