About Us n/soto is an upscale casual Japanese izakaya restaurant founded by the team behind Michelin-starred restaurant n/naka. At n/soto, we are committed to serving the freshest seasonal sushi and Japanese dishes that pair perfectly with our craft cocktails and premium sake selections. We value craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a passion for hospitality.  We are currently looking for a skilled and dependable Sushi Chef/Cook to join our team. You will be working alongside our Head Sushi Chef and a diverse team of cooks to create a delicious dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls with consistency and high quality Maintain proper handling, storage, and freshness of seafood and ingredients Follow all food safety and sanitation standards Maintain clean and organized workstations Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining presentation standards Assist with prep work, inventory, and ingredient management Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service Contribute to staff meals for the team Maintain a calm and respectful demeanor at all times Skills and Requirements: Minimum 1-2 years kitchen experience involving sushi making and/or breaking down fish Strong knife skills and knowledge of sushi preparation techniques Willing to learn and grow when coached by Head Chefs Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to detail and eye for plating presentation Ability to work well with other team members Strong verbal communication skills Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay Range $18–30 depending on experience, plus tip pool Staff meals Health Insurance Reimbursement Plan We look forward to welcoming passionate culinary professionals to our team.
