What Can You Expect From ALPLA Health and Wellness Care Program- Benefits Child Care Benefits Dependent Care Cost Savings Program Recognition programs; Promotional opportunities 401K Retirement Plan and excellent Matching Plan Medical, dental, vision plan Education assistance program/tuition reimbursement Short term, long term and life insurance paid by ALPLA Paid vacation; paid holidays What Will You Enjoy Doing Main Responsibilities: Measurements and Testing Ensure production compliance with all internal and customer product and packaging specifications Ensures completion of all customer required testing through daily checks of SPC data entry of Machine Operators and Quality Technicians Maintains measurement database integrity Coordinates sampling, testing and reporting for new product mold qualifications Quality Test Equipment Maintains optimum performance and internal calibration checks on quality related test equipment. Schedules external calibration and maintains approved equipment list Performs gage R&R testing for new equipment or operators Documentation Maintenance of customer product specification and drawings Develops and maintains internal product and packaging specifications Maintains current revision of customer and Alpla test methods Controls and reports all nonconformance product per documented procedures Provides quality data for monthly reporting in emis and other customer required data reporting Maintains quality related records from production & quality lab. Coordinates reporting production quality through Certificate of Compliance as specified by customer Reviews, approves & maintains certificate of compliance/assurance for incoming material Trains and monitors compliance of test methods for personnel performing quality testing Trains personnel in quality related work instructions Performs routine line inspections Responsible for promoting quality mind set in all plant employees Responsible for maintenance of product quality aides Maintaining customer approved color samples Ensures that a signed acceptable sample for color or reject sample for defects are available for standard decision-making Coordinates staffing replacement for planned absence of quality technicians Assumes Quality Manager responsibilities with Plant/Operation Manager guidance when required What Makes You Great Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience with physical lab testing equipment, calipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment preferred Qualifications/Skills: Basic Computer skills Ability to work well with other departments Able to make decisions with little supervision (Night Shift) Able to handle multi-task environment with good organizational skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
