Yard Worker

Yard Workers Aerotek's client is looking for Yard Workers to join their team in the Elkridge, MD area Responsibilities Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement of items to prevent damage Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, including inspections and minor repairs Maintain accurate inventory records by properly documenting incoming and outgoing shipments Collaborate with warehouse team to organize storage areas for optimal efficiency Adhere to safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries in the workplace Assist in the packaging and labeling of products for shipment or storage Follow company procedures when handling hazardous materials or fragile items Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers regarding daily tasks and priorities Ensure compliance with quality control standards during loading/unloading processes Utilize handheld scanners or computer systems to track inventory movement within the warehouse Operate various types of forklifts, such as sit-down, stand-up, reach truck, or clamp truck based on job requirements Efficiently move heavy loads weighing up to XX pounds using a forklift Safely transport materials between different areas of the warehouse without any incidents Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals by prioritizing tasks effectively Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy in quantity and quality before storing them in designated locations Maintain cleanliness of work area by organizing supplies, removing debris, and disposing waste properly Essential Skills 1-2+ years of experience in scaffold building, carpentry, or form carpentry. Proficient in masonry, framing, and using power and hand tools. Additional Skills & Qualifications Any additional experience with hand tools, power tools, or carpentry is a plus. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
