Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all functions necessary for plant maintenance in support of the overall site operations. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of tasks including preventive, scheduled, and emergency mechanical maintenance and is a multi-craft mechanic with an emphasis on rotating equipment. Job Details Role Specific Responsibilities:Ensures workplace safety by participating in the Behavior Based Safety Observations while practicing and following all site safety policies, guidelines, and proceduresComplies with all Aurorium Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating ProceduresProvides maintenance to plant utilities equipment and rotating equipment repairs including ANSI pump repair, mechanical seal installation/trouble shooting, alignment methods and bearing fits/tolerancesPerforms centrifugal pump repair inclusive of mechanical seal installation and other rotating equipment repair involving gear reduction drives, agitators and blowersExecutes additional general maintenance duties including industrial pipe fitting, heat exchanger repair, rigging/crane use, etc.identifies, diagnoses, and communicates issues that arise with equipmentCompletes preventative maintenance duties and records critical information appropriatelyMaintains outstanding housekeeping and 5SPerforms daily activities independently (or with a team) with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with managementPerforms other duties as assignedComply with FDA, SQF and OSHA safety and health rules.
