For more information, please visit our website:Job Title: Inventory Manager Salary Range: $57,784/yr - $60,000/yr Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt (Hourly) Location: Star Buds | Arapahoe Position Objective The Retail Inventory Manager is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory operations across our high-volume recreational retail location. This role ensures inventory integrity, regulatory compliance, and seamless support for both in-store and online sales channels. With a strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and compliance with Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) regulations, the Retail Inventory Manager helps drive the operational success of our retail store. This position plays a vital role in maintaining product availability, managing stock flow, and optimizing inventory processes to support a best-in-class customer experience. Essential Functions Inventory Management and Compliance (40%) Conduct regular cycle counts and full inventory audits in collaboration with store leadership. Maintain accurate inventory records in METRC and the point-of-sale (POS) system in accordance with state regulatory requirements. Identify and reconcile inventory discrepancies promptly; implement corrective action to prevent recurrence. Train and oversee Inventory Associates on compliant auditing and data entry practices. Generate and analyze daily reports on inventory levels, variances, and par stock levels to support business decisions. Inventory Organization and Optimization (30%) Implement and maintain a well-organized back stock system that supports efficient restocking and order fulfillment. Enforce FIFO (First-In, First-Out) standards to minimize product aging and ensure product freshness. Coordinate with store leadership to manage inventory levels, including products approaching expiration. Monitor and maintain product quality throughout storage and sales preparation. Oversee accurate and timely labeling and shelf stocking of all products. Receiving and Labeling (30%) Verify incoming shipments against product manifests; accept or reject shipments in compliance with store policy and state regulations. Receive inventory in METRC and import packages into the POS system with accurate product data and pricing. Manage the movement of inventory from back stock to the sales floor, including pricing tier updates and label creation. Create and maintain compliant product labels for all items, including flower, concentrates, edibles, and more. Train both Inventory and Retail Associates on correct and compliant labeling procedures. Please note that the percentage allocations are a general estimate and may vary based on business needs and priorities. Additional duties may be required as needed to support overall operations. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field preferred. Must be at least 21 years of age. 2+ years of cannabis inventory management experience. Ability to identify and solve problems at the store level. Valid Drivers License Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel) Hours will vary depending on business needs. Nights, weekends, and holidays are to be expected. Travel to other locations may be required. Ability to carry/lift up to 40 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).
