Position Overview The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers high-quality respiratory care in accordance with physician orders, department protocols, and state standards. You will perform diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, and ventilator management while closely monitoring patient response and supporting critical patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments including breath sounds, airway patency, and ventilatory status Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory therapy needs Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy Assist with placement and management of artificial airways Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical and non-invasive ventilation Monitor patient response to therapy and intervene when necessary Accurately document treatments and patient progress Assist with safe transport of ventilator-dependent patients Respond to emergency situations and assist with airway management and resuscitation Required Qualifications Minimum 6 months of recent acute-care Respiratory Therapist experience Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential NBRC Active State Respiratory Therapist License Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate degree or equivalent) Certifications Required BCLS within 30 days of hire ACLS within 6 months PALS within 6 months NRP within 6 months Why You'll Love This Opportunity Work in a high-acuity hospital environment Gain experience with advanced ventilator and respiratory technologies Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialty clinicians Expand your critical care respiratory expertise Competitive pay with night shift differential Compensation & Schedule Hourly Pay: $35$40 per hour Night Differential: +$4.50 per hour Shifts: Day & Night Available Location: Kissimmee, FL (On-Site) Make an impact in patient care and grow your respiratory therapy careerapply today!
