Job Description

Warehouse Receiving Lead Help supervisor during the shift and help coordinate the activities of warehouse co-workers to ensure smooth production and distribution of product in the department. Also, fill in for supervisor in the event of the supervisor being absent. This position will work on specific tasks such as: WMS Reports, Training of New Employees, Load and Unload Pallets for Receiving/Shipping, Reading and Interpreting Tickets, Auditing Docks and warehouse aisles. Safety & Quality: Enforce safety procedures and policies and ensure a safe work environment free of hazards. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other government agencies. Ensure proper compliance and execution of the HAZMAT program. Help drives overall quality for product built, shipped to and received by customer. Strives to ensure quality outcome of product the first time, responsible for correcting quality errors and fixing processes to avoid future quality errors from occurring. Leadership: Help direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in receiving and distribution of slabs and doors. Assist Supervisor plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet department goals. Demonstrate equipment operations and work and safety procedures to new employees, or assign employees to experienced workers for training. Partner with management to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances in supervisor's absence. Responsible to help train and develop co-workers in their jobs. Technical: Review operations and confer with technical staff to resolve forklift problems. Prepare and maintain WMS reports and end of shift work orders to be turned in to management. Ensure inspection of materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Manage distribution with minimum waste and quality errors. Observe work, and monitor transfer, receiving or put away items, to ensure that operators conform to safety and company standards. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Two or more years' experience in a warehouse environment with experience on multiple types of powered industrial trucks (PIT). Skills & Abilities: Computer Skills MS Office, WMS and ordering system.
