Maintenance Mechanic 3Status: Full-Time | Direct Hire (Permanent Placement)2nd 3 PM - 11 PM and 3rd shift 11 PM - 7 AM $25 - $39/hour based on experience and shfit.Affiliation: UAW Membership Included Department: Facility MaintenanceThe Opportunity We are seeking a high-level Maintenance Mechanic 3 to serve as a technical anchor for our manufacturing operations. This is a Direct Hire position offering the stability and world-class protections of a UAW membership. You will not just be "fixing machines"-you will be a leader on the floor, mentoring junior staff and ensuring our facility maintains peak operational efficiency through advanced diagnostics and preventative strategy. Key Responsibilities Advanced Systems Repair: Use precision instruments, power tools, and blueprints to maintain and repair complex machinery, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. Proactive Maintenance: Execute complex routine, preventative, and predictive maintenance to minimize unscheduled downtime. Complex Diagnostics: Act as the primary troubleshooter for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fluid dynamic breakdowns. PLC & Automation: Perform basic to intermediate troubleshooting on automated systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Leadership & Mentoring: Provide hands-on coaching and technical leadership to junior team members; oversee complex projects and escalate only the most critical issues to engineering. Safety & Quality: Champion a culture of safety by strictly adhering to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), environmental regulations, and quality standards. QualificationsRequired Experience: 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience (Level 2 or higher). Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fluid dynamics. Documentation: Proficiency in process documentation and the ability to interpret complex technical manuals and schematics. Independence: Proven ability to diagnose issues and complete repairs autonomously. Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Certifications: Powered Industrial Equipment (Forklift/Scissor Lift) Certification. Skills: Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and basic welding (MIG/TIG). Core Competencies Technical: Troubleshooting, Calibration, Numerical Control, Fluid Dynamics. Soft Skills: Mentoring, Training, Teamwork, and Clear Communication. Physical: Strong manual dexterity; ability to lift/move heavy objects and work in varied industrial environments.
