Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician will work independently to repair, fix, troubleshoot, and diagnose maintenance issues in a manufacturing environment. The role involves working on various plastics manufacturing machines, performing electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical tasks. The technician may also fabricate equipment or parts using tools such as welders and cutting torches.Responsibilities Repair and maintain mechanical systems, including replacing and repacking bearings, swapping out pumps and motors, and replacing rollers and gears. Perform electrical tasks such as wiring machines, checking voltage and faults, and replacing and troubleshooting photo eyes, lasers, and switches. Handle hydraulic and pneumatic tasks, including changing and rebuilding cylinders, replacing seals, and replacing cylinders and solenoids. Use a laptop to diagnose machine faults, similar to using a code reader for a car. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting. Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and machine mechanics. Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with millwright work and electric motors. Experience with food-grade machinery. The environment is consistently loud and can be dusty. There are approximately 20 people on each shift. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and earplugs. The company operates two rotating shifts, day and night, with a specific schedule that allows for a balanced work-life routine. Training is conducted during the day from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, until the technician is familiar with the machines and processes. The opportunity for direct hire is available, and night shifts include additional bonuses.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fargo, ND.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
