Shipping & Receiving Clerk Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments - Load and unload shipments from trucks and verify accuracy - Package finished products into containers, boxes, or crates, ensuring proper labeling, sealing, and stacking for storage or shipment - Perform quality checks and inspections on items produced; resolve packaging issues promptly - Maintain inventory accuracy by checking stock levels and updating records - Organize and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines and ensure on-time delivery of inbound and outbound shipments - Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to all company packaging guidelines - Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials, products, and personnel between locations - Conduct deliveries and pickups of materials, products, or supplies to and from customers, suppliers, or designated locations - Plan and optimize driving routes for efficiency and timely deliveries - Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks; report any issues promptly - Maintain accurate records of driving activities, including mileage logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports - Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities - Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling equipment - Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and maintain safety and quality standards - Communicate effectively to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and ensure smooth operations between manufacturing and transportation Requirements For Shipping & Receiving Clerk: - Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects, as well as standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods - Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines while performing driving and laborer duties, including proper use of (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures to prevent accidents or injuries - Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in performing tasks such as material handling, assembly line work, packaging, and delivery/pickup activities - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively to prioritize tasks, plan routes, and meet delivery schedules while maintaining efficiency and productivity - Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and suppliers, providing updates, following instructions, and addressing inquiries or concerns - Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges or obstacles encountered while driving or performing general laborer duties, including the ability to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions independently - Ability to adapt to changing priorities, schedules, and work environments, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks or responsibilities as needed to support manufacturing and transportation operations - Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential, with a strong work ethic and commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities consistently and efficiently - Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with coworkers, supervisors, and other departments to achieve common goals, resolve problems, and ensure smooth operations within the manufacturing company - Must be able to operate a 26' box truck and 20' flatbed truck (Non-CDL) as well as a pick up truck - Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing shipping & receiving and driving experience - Proficient in ERP systems; experience with Global Shop preferred - Proficiency in operating company vehicles safely and responsibly, with knowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and safe driving practices - Experienced in safe forklift operation, including loading, unloading, and transporting materials in compliance with safety standards - Employees are expected to adhere to all safety protocols, including the use protective gear when required - Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and operating machinery - Perform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping, and holding - Carrying & lifting 10 50lbs. frequently IND012
