Material Handler

Material Handler The Material Handler is responsible for performing duties associated with the picking, staging, and handling of raw material to and from production. Handling finish product to be stored and consolidated for distribution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Follow lean manufacturing / team building 5S concepts Perform daily inspections on all assigned PIV equipment Certified of various PIV Asset of receiving and storage of raw / finished materials Read and follow production schedule Stage and supply raw material to production as needed Ensure all packaging supplies are in designated Kanban's for easy access Pull away completed FG skids from production line Perform visual inspection of product and that all paperwork is accurate. (Proper skid, Placard, Shipping Labels and packing list) Band, weigh, and stretch wrap skid as required Ensure safe handling and storage of materials Store finished product in designated location and or assigned location for future distribution Record material movement and turn into shipping office by shift daily Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area And also follow any other direction by warehouse supervisor /lead Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED preferred Able to carry out written and oral instructions English written and verbal communication skills Basic computer/ERP skills Possess basic math skills add, subtract, read tape measure, use calculator Must have a working knowledge of all warehouse processes, safety and quality control procedures for the warehouse operations, including routing knowledge such as specifications standards to domestic and international shipments Must be capable of inspecting and packaging quality wallcovering. Must have ability to recognize quality/packing issues and resolve in time critical situation Works well with others in a team-based atmosphere Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are the representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
