Forklift Operator

Warehouse Team Member Aerotek is looking for experienced warehouse team members in the Auburndale area. This is a cold storage facility, and reach truck experience is required. This is a temp-to-permanent hire position with the end goal being permanent hire after 90 days. This is a comprehensive warehouse role with various duties that vary daily. Responsibilities include packing, palletizing, order selecting, loading and unloading, lifting, moving materials, stacking, wrapping, and sorting. Responsibilities: Select products according to tickets and accurately place them in boxes for shipments, including product labeling and box building. Move products and packages throughout the warehouse. Load and unload materials and merchandise from trucks, placing them in the appropriate location within the warehouse for storage. Ensure orders are packed into appropriate shipping containers for customer delivery. Inspect products during packing to ensure there is no damage. Stage pallets as needed for shipment. Assemble daily shipments by order location and category. Perform quality control assessments and stack them safely and securely. Essential skills: Reach truck experience required. Experience working in a warehouse. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, lifting, walking, and carrying. Good attendance and strong tenure history. Additional skills & qualifications: Cold storage experience is a plus. Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks is a plus. Experience working in food and beverage is a plus. Shift & work environment: The work environment involves cold storage conditions. The available shifts are 12-hour shifts with a schedule of 4 days on and 3 days off, alternating weekly. Candidates will initially train on an 8 AM - 5 PM shift for 1-3 weeks. Job type & location: This is a contract to hire position based out of Lakeland, FL. Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
