Position Overview Employer: The Floating Hospital Location: Queensbridge Astoria, New York Specialty: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Employment Type: Full-Time (Permanent) Shift: Day Schedule Compensation: $210,000 per year Start Date: As soon as credentialed ResponsibilitiesProvide medical care to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patientsObtain relevant patient histories and perform complete well-care examinationsConduct gynecological histories and physical examinations as indicatedDiagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate medicationsComplete medical documentation and required forms related to patient careRespond to patient telephone inquiriesCoordinate referrals and ensure appropriate follow-up careAssist with immunizations and phlebotomy as neededPromote disease prevention, health maintenance, and patient educationProvide counseling on chronic disease management, prenatal care, parenting, nutrition, family planning, stress management, and medication useProvide patient advocacy servicesSupervise mid-level providers under collaborative agreementsParticipate in peer review, case conferences, and case management activitiesParticipate in on-call rotation Administrative & Educational DutiesParticipate in quality improvement initiativesDevelop and implement medical protocols with the Clinical Guidelines CommitteeCollaborate with Benefits Counselors, Outreach staff, and HIM supervisorsEnsure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policiesProvide technical guidance and teaching to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants EMR Access Includes Demographics, Registration, Scheduling, Triage, PMH/Vitals, Orders, Immunizations, Progress Notes, Reporting, Labs, Medical Summary, and Telephone Encounters.
