Position Details Department: Warehouse Receiving Status: Full-Time Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (WEEKENDS INCLUDED) FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Receiving Manager & Supervisor Position Summary The Receiving Material Handler plays a key role in our warehouse operations by unloading containers and trailers, receiving merchandise, and ensuring products are moved to the correct locations. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a flexible schedule. Essential Functions Read purchase orders to determine merchandise sizes and quantities Label and palletize merchandise for proper identification Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned warehouse areas Receive purchase orders using a forklift or appropriate equipment Load and off-load containers; assist with inventory checks Lift merchandise cases and place them on pallets for racking Hand-stack containers as needed to organize merchandise Assist drivers to support efficient loading and unloading Maintain forklifts, including checking battery water levels Document received purchase orders to ensure accurate inventory Move items between locations to maximize warehouse space Assist with inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels Perform additional warehouse duties as needed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to use handheld scanning devices (RF Smart) Effective verbal communication Customer-focused mindset Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work Positive, team-oriented attitude Ability to stay calm under pressure Accountability and reliability Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to work overtime and weekends during busy season Education/Experience Required High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience 1 year of forklift experience required 1 year of stock picker experience preferred Forklift certification required Computer Skills Basic keyboard/computer skills Experience using handheld scanning devices (RF Smart) Physical Demands Constant standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and handling Frequent lifting of 1050 lbs Occasional lifting of 51100 lbs Occasional climbing, crawling, and kneeling Ability to wear PPE such as a safety harness Visual and auditory abilities required for warehouse environment Work Environment Warehouse setting with exposure to heat, cold, and varying noise levels Fast-paced environment requiring focus and attention to detail
