Psychiatry Opening - Battle Creek, MI Full-Time Hospital/Facility-Based BC/BE PsychiatristAcute inpatient treatment program Overview: Group in Battle Creek, Michigan is seeking a full-time Psychiatrist to join its behavioral health team. The psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses using psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, medication management, and/or hospitalization when appropriate.Position Summary: • Provide comprehensive clinical psychiatric services to patients within the facility • Practice in accordance with federal/state regulations and facility policies • Review patient medical information to ensure clinical stability and provide medical recommendations • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders • Provide and direct treatment utilizing a range of psychotherapeutic approaches and medications • Complete all documentation, treatment plans, and patient care records in a timely and compliant manner • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all medical and ethical standards Qualifications: • MD or DO degree required • Board Certification in Psychiatry • At least one year of post-graduate clinical experience preferred • Active state medical license (or ability to obtain) • Current DEA license with unrestricted prescribing authority for controlled substances
