Job Title City of Cleveland Heights Salary $49,088.00 Annually Location Ohio 44118, OH Job Type Full Time Job Number 2065 Department Public Works Opening Date 05/07/2024 Description Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the city wide collection of refuse and recyclables, bulk items, bagged yard waste, leaves, brush and apartment building refuse. Would also have to be prepared to assist in other Divisions as needed. The position requires flexibility as to scheduling and duties. Examples of Duties Collection of refuse and recyclables Serve as back up for the Refuse/Recycling Truck Operators Assist in the maintenance of the Transfer Station Transfer to Streets Division for snow and ice control from January 1st to April 1st working 11:00pm to 7:00am Typical Qualifications EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required. REQUIREMENTS: Must be in excellent physical condition to perform manual labor outdoors in all climatic conditions Possess a valid Ohio Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B and excellent driving record Previous experience driving various types of large vehicles, including dump trucks, rear load packer refuse trucks and side loading refuse trucks Safely lift approximately 90lbs independently Able to carry out verbal and written instructions Ability to work well with others Must assist in all other departmental activities as requested including leaf collection and snow/ice removal Reliable attendance Benefits The City of Cleveland Heights offers permanent full time employees an excellent benefits package!
