Project Manager - Traveling As the Project Manager - Traveling, reporting to senior construction leadership, you will oversee a portfolio of ground-up commercial developments across multiple states. Manage full project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout on large, high-volume commercial sites Conduct regular out-of-state site visits to monitor progress, lead meetings, and drive accountability with contractors Coordinate closely with internal development, design, engineering, and operations teams Oversee schedules, budgets, contracts, pay applications, and change management Utilize construction management software (including Procore) to maintain documentation and reporting Resolve sitework, utilities, and civil-related challenges in early phases of construction Support local projects in the Greater Houston Area when not traveling, including tenant/occupant coordination and field walks MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law. For the Project Manager - Traveling we are seeking: 10+ years of experience delivering ground-up commercial projects Background with complex service-oriented, high-traffic, or multi-component sites (e.g., retail, hospitality, infrastructure-heavy commercial) Strong civil construction knowledge, especially related to utilities, grading, and site development Experience working as a Project Manager for a general contractor, developer, or owner-side team Comfortable with frequent multi-state travel and managing several active job sites concurrently Proficiency with Procore and strong command of construction financial processes Excellent communication skills and confidence collaborating with contractors, design teams, and external stakeholders Based in the Greater Houston Area (or already established locally) with familiarity of regional permitting processes preferred Competitive compensation in the $125,000-$135,000 range depending on experience All travel expenses covered, including flights, lodging, transportation, and meals Flexible work arrangements following late travel days Strong project pipeline with diverse commercial developments Career path toward senior leadership as the construction and development teams expand
