Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Full-Time Location: Dallas, TX (Lakewood 6350 E Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75214) Position Overview NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Lakewood clinic in Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for clinicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment, value autonomy, and enjoy treating a wide variety of patient presentations. Minimum 1 year of urgent care or emergency medicine experience strongly preferred. Schedule & Compensation Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM 8:00 PM, 7 days/week Compensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + bonus Benefits: Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, CME support) Why NextCare? True work-life balance no after-hours charting or call Monthly schedules released in advance Providers are off more days than they work Solo provider model with strong support from medical leadership Clear clinical guidelines + real-time mentorship Broad scope: all ages, low to moderate acuity Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits Perform procedures (suturing, splinting, wound care) Interpret labs and x-rays (preliminary reads) Document accurately in EHR and maintain productivity (3 4 patients/hour) Qualifications Active Texas license (NP or PA) NP: ANCC or AANP (FNP required) PA: NCCPA certified DEA license (or ability to obtain) BLS certification Comfortable treating all ages independently Willingness to work weekends and holidays DOT certification (or willingness to obtain covered) Preferred 1+ year urgent care or emergency medicine experience Strong procedural skills Experience with x-ray interpretation About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation s largest urgent care providers, with 160+ clinics across 11 states.
