Front Desk Supervisor We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Front Desk Supervisor to join our team at Sebasco Harbor Resort. This is a Full Time Seasonal (April-October) position located in Phippsburg, ME. In this position you will be responsible for managing the front desk team, guest registration, making reservations, and providing guests with information about the hotel and the local area. As a Front Desk Supervisor, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay. Manage and motivate all front office personnel with the daily supervision to include staffing, training, discipline, scheduling and visually monitoring performance to ensure adherence to all service and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction. Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in sometimes fast-paced environment. Ensures the lobby is in proper order by performing daily walkthroughs. Support and assist team members in handling guest inquiries and requests and in resolving guest complaints. Cover desk shifts on occasion or when necessary. Manage all functions of the Front Office, including operations and staffing. Schedule, assign daily work, lead pre-shift meetings, inform and train team members. Communicate relevant shift information to next shift and direct supervisor. Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys and explain the hotel's amenities. Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies. Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner. Explain local amenities and attractions to guests. Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests. Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order. Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures. Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management. Requirements include high school education or equivalent experience, 2 or more full years employment experience in a related position, must be able to work onsite at the hotel location, hours required: full time 30-40 hours per week for must be flexible, proficiency in the English language, willingness to learn new technology platforms, ability to stand at front desk for long periods of time, ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited, ability to work independently, ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times. Additional preferred skills/qualities include previous customer facing experience, knowledge of Microsoft suite, second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French. Compensation is $22 hourly.
