CNC Machinist

Position Title: CNC MachinistDepartment: Model ShopLocation: Fenton, MOReports To: Manufacturing Engineering ManagerClassification: Hourly – Non-ExemptSchedule:  1st ShiftPosition Summary:The primary function of this Machinist position is to work with the Manufacturing Engineering Group to make components for a wide range of unique equipment used in our manufacturing and assembly process. Essential Job Duties: Program and Set-up CNC Mazak lathesAbility to make offsets, change and reset toolsInspect and ensure that all dimensions are within print specificationComplete required documentation with accurate informationPerform daily preventative machine maintenance Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area Required Education: High School Diploma/GEDFormal Machinist training with certificate and/or previous experience Required Experience/Skills: 1-3 years previous experience with manual and CNC Mazak lathes Extensive knowledge of Mazak equipment and Mazatrol programmingExcellent blueprint reading skillsUnderstanding of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, and machining techniquesAbility to use precision measuring devicesUnderstanding of G and M codeAptitude to learn pertinent softwareAbility to work individually and as part of a team Work Environment Will be exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, oils, and chemicals in a loud manufacturing environmentWill be standing on concrete the entire shift About Control Devices, LLCControl Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer & manufacturer of high-quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components & accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, & the industrial, agricultural & food service float valve markets.
