Position Type: Cleaner/Cleaner Date Posted: 1/5/2026 Location: Green Valley Elementary School Closing Date: 01/14/2026 Must have an application on file with the Parma Civil Service Commission This position is split between Dentzler Elementary and Green Valley Elementary Reports to: Supervisor of Buildings and Grounds Salary: $14.32 starting hourly rate Work Schedule: 8.0 hours per day, Monday - Friday, 52 weeks per year 2nd shift during the school year, first shift during the summer Qualifications: Prior cleaning experience helpful Physical ability to perform required work. Ability to lift and carry medium-heavy weight objects Ability to bend, sit, and stand for long periods of time Ability to climb stairs and ladders Ability to work safely with a variety of cleaning products Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions Ability to comply with schedules providing for regular cleaning of all facilities Show good judgment and knows when to ask for directions Maintain good attendance Notice: House Bill 190 mandates that we request check of BCI & FBI records regardless of how long an employee has resided in Ohio. This means all new employees must pay a total of $48.00 for fingerprinting.
