Controller Automotive Dealership Position Overview: The Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial operations. This role partners closely with the General Manager and department heads to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency. The Controller leads the accounting office and provides strategic financial insight to support business decisions. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all dealership financial operations Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements Review and analyze schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation Manage month-end and year-end close processes Partner closely with the General Manager and department heads on financial performance Lead, mentor, and manage the accounting/office staff Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and dealership policies Oversee cash management, payables, receivables, payroll, and general ledger activity Identify process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function Qualifications: Significant experience in dealership or automotive accounting Proven ability to produce and interpret full financial statements Strong leadership and people-management skills Experience working directly with senior leadership and department heads High attention to detail with strong analytical skills Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities in a fast-paced environment HOUAC49
