Controller About the Organization We are a mission-driven nonprofit seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations, ensure strong internal controls, and support the organization’s long-term financial sustainability. Position Summary The Controller is responsible for managing the organization’s accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role plays a key leadership function in maintaining fiscal integrity and supporting programmatic growth. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end close Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage the annual budget process and provide variance analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and grant requirements Lead annual audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditors Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies Supervise and mentor accounting staff Support leadership with financial analysis and strategic decision-making Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, including nonprofit or fund accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial reporting Experience with audits, grants, and restricted funds Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Why Join Us Meaningful work supporting a mission-driven organization Collaborative and values-based culture Opportunities for growth and leadership impact #INAPR2026 #LI-JL1
