Job Description

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a K-12 school in Los Angeles, CA. This position is ideal for a candidate holding a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and may include Speech Language Pathologists in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The role requires onsite presence and offers a contract duration from the start of the school year through the end of the school year. Key Qualifications and Experience: Valid Speech Language Pathologist certification (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CF) eligibility Experience working within a school-based setting, preferably K-12 Strong skills in assessing, diagnosing, and providing therapy for students with communication disorders Effective collaboration with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and school protocols Commitment to providing services on-site throughout the contract duration Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as per student needs Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy approaches accordingly Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers and parents for student success Maintain accurate records and comply with school and legal policies Communicate effectively with support personnel, such as Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) This full-time (30-35 hours weekly) position begins as soon as possible with assignment through the end of the school year. Candidates in their clinical fellowship year will have their fellowship numbers transferred to SLPA to facilitate compliance.
