Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Contract Job Type: Contract Position Urgency: Normal Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Shift schedule may vary Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders, helping residents improve functional communication and quality of life. Requirements Licensure: Must hold a current and active Speech-Language Pathologist license in the State of California. Experience: Less than 1 year of experience acceptable; new graduates are encouraged to apply. Certifications: Current professional certification and licensure as required for speech therapy practice. Skills: Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation abilities. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve communication and swallowing function. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed. Document patient evaluations, treatments, and outcomes according to regulatory and facility standards. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care goals. Educate patients and families on therapy techniques and strategies for continued progress.
