Job Details Location: Midtown Memphis, Memphis, TN 38104 Role: Registered Nurse (RN) - LTAC / Long-Term Acute Care Nurse Position Type: Travel Contract / Travel RN Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: March 30, 2026 Shift: 12-hour day shifts; 3 shifts per week Hours per Week: 36 Openings: 5 RN positions Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890 Setting: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital - ideal for nurses with critical care/ICU experience Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or multistate/compact RN license BLS (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required prior to first shift Minimum 2 years recent bedside clinical experience; LTAC, step-down, or ICU experience strongly preferred Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, and complex wound/skin care a plus Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and documentation skills (EMR experience preferred) Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans for LTAC patients Deliver evidence-based nursing care consistent with hospital protocols and patient safety standards Manage ventilator care, trach care, complex wound management, and other LTAC-level interventions Supervise and support Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, coordinate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals Initiate discharge planning and provide patient/family education from admission through transition Adhere to infection prevention practices and promote a safe environment for patients and staff Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed and contribute positively to team dynamics Engage in professional development and maintain current certifications Why Memphis?
