Job Description

This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide vital support as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting within the Houston area. The role involves working itinerantly across two elementary schools, serving students with speech and communication needs and supporting the speech-language pathologist in delivering high-quality therapy services. The assignment is scheduled from April 10, 2026, through May 22, 2026. Key Responsibilities: Assist in speech and language therapy sessions for elementary-aged students at two assigned schools, with a potential third school added. Implement individualized treatment plans under the guidance of a certified speech-language pathologist. Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with district and regulatory requirements. Support classroom teachers and parents in strategies to reinforce speech and language development. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or related field. Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLPA. ASHA SLPA certification preferred. Completion of Texas Education Agency (TEA) fingerprinting and credentialing requirements. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently across multiple locations. Location and Schedule: Position located in Conroe, Texas (Houston metropolitan area). Full-time commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
