Our client is currently seeking a Speech Language Pathologist, Long-term Substitute around the Devon, PA area. Speech Language Pathologist Long-Term Substitute | Through June 2026Caseload: 14 students across three classrooms Lower School: ages 7-8 and 9-10 Middle School: ages 15-16 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:45 AM-3:00 PM Reports to: Executive Director Department: Speech & Language Requirements: Pennsylvania SLP License Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Certification Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred Position Overview The Speech Language Pathologist provides educational, diagnostic, and therapeutic services to students with speech and language needs. The goal is to support functional communication using a range of strategies and interventions. All annual IEPs for this group will already be completed. The primary responsibilities will be delivering therapy, collecting data, and writing progress reports for the 3rd and 4th quarters. Core Responsibilities Develop and deliver speech/language lessons for individual and group therapy. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialists to support IEP goals. Schedule therapy sessions according to IEP requirements and maintain session notes. Track and document progress using quantitative data collection. Attend IEP meetings and complete speech/language sections of the IEP. Communicate with parents and participate in conferences as needed. Participate in evaluations and reevaluations; provide assessment input. Complete quarterly progress reports for all assigned students. Communicate with administration regarding department needs or concerns. Conduct assessments related to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA. Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and parent meetings; complete additional assigned duties. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred Licensure/Certification Pennsylvania Speech Language Pathologist License (required) PDE Certification (required) Experience Experience in an autistic support program preferred Skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Strong communication and documentation skills Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Work Conditions Physical Requirements Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and keyboard use Occasional kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, pushing/pulling up to 20 lbs, and lifting/carrying up to 20 lbs Environmental Factors Occasional exposure to loud noise, dust, mold, or pollen Additional Information The SLP supports communication needs across daily living, academic, and vocational settings. Therapy is provided individually and in groups. Regular communication with families, school districts, and internal teams is expected.
