Description Conduct comprehensive evaluations across pediatric, adult, and older adult patient groups utilizing standardized assessments and observational insights. Create tailored treatment plans that cater to both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives. Deliver individualized speech therapy aimed at enhancing communication, language proficiency, fluency, voice quality, and swallowing capabilities. Engage in collaborative practices with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive therapeutic strategies. Provide education and resources for patients and their families to continue progress outside of therapy sessions. Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring a seamless care experience throughout the patient's journey. Document patient progress accurately and promptly in accordance with legal, federal, and organizational standards. Commit to continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing training and collaboration. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified. Certifications State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based practices for patients of all ages, with a deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing conditions. Strong interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and the broader care team. Adeptness at modifying therapy methods to align with the individual cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients. Excellent clinical judgment, coupled with creative problem-solving skills.
