Overview Provide high-quality cardiac telemetry nursing care on 5 North, a 36-private-room telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients recovering from cardiac interventions (surgery, stents, pacemakers). This travel nursing job is perfect for Telemetry RNs skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and post-cardiac intervention care. Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,550 - $1,630 Location: Tyler, TX 75701 (East Texas) - Travel Nurse opportunity Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 - July 20, 2026) Shift: Nights - 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00) Hours per Week: 36 Unit: 5 North - Telemetry (36 beds, patient ratio 1:5-6) Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience (2 years preferred) - telemetry nursing, cardiac monitoring Previous travel nursing experience required (travel RN) Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible for compact/Multi-state where applicable) BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) - Epic charting Must not reside in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris Key Responsibilities Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry continuously; identify and manage dysrhythmias Respond to rapid response and code situations; provide safe, timely interventions Deliver pre- and post-operative cardiac care including post-cardiac surgery, post-MI, and post-angiogram management Manage IV therapies, titratable drips including insulin protocols, blood products, and vasoactive medications Care for central and peripheral lines, PICC lines, and arterial lines Provide respiratory support: oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management Provide wound care and wound VAC management; follow isolation and infection control precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, radiology, social services) to coordinate comprehensive patient care Why Join This Travel Nursing Role Work in a cardiac-focused telemetry unit with strong clinical support and collaborative staff Gain experience with Epic EHR and advanced telemetry monitoring protocols Competitive weekly pay for travel RNs in Texas - great opportunity for experienced telemetry nurses Live and work in Tyler, TX - enjoy the city's renowned rose gardens, vibrant arts scene, friendly community, scenic parks, annual festivals, and easy access to East Texas outdoor attractions like lakes and hiking trails Apply now to be considered for this Travel Registered Nurse (Telemetry) night shift position in Tyler, TX.
