Job Description

A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist is needed for a full-time, on-site contract position in Calumet City, IL, serving students from early childhood through 8th grade. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to support speech and language development in a diverse school environment. Location: Calumet City, IL Position Type: Contract (On-site only) Dates: ASAP through June 3, 2026 Work Hours: 33.75 hours per week Caseload: Early childhood to 8th grade students Number of Openings: 1 Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication disorders Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with district policies and state regulations Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary student support strategies Qualifications: Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred Experience working with school-aged populations, preferably in public school settings Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with diverse communication needs This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the educational journey of young learners by addressing critical speech and language challenges.
