BMS Pediatric Therapy Group, P.C. is a therapist owned private practice providing high quality speech and developmental therapy services to children ages 6 months through 18 years. Our team of licensed Speech Language Pathologists brings extensive experience serving diverse student populations across early childhood, elementary, and secondary settings throughout the Chicagoland area. We are currently hiring Speech Language Pathologists for the 2026 to 2027 school year in the southland area, including the south suburbs of Chicago. Positions are available in early childhood, elementary, and high school settings. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Provide direct and indirect speech and language services in alignment with students' IEPs. Conduct comprehensive speech language evaluations and complete written reports within mandated timelines. Develop measurable annual goals and benchmarks aligned with present levels of academic and functional performance. Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exercise sound professional judgment, especially in interactions with administration, colleagues, families, and students. Support students with a wide range of speech-language-related issues to meet academic performance standards. SLPs work includes prevention, assessment, intervention, and program design efforts that are integrated within a school curriculum in conjunction with teachers, parents, and other relevant stakeholders. Maintain accurate session notes, service logs, progress reports, and Medicaid documentation as required by district protocols. Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student access to curriculum and communication growth. Provide classroom based, small group, and individual intervention as appropriate to student need. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and exercise sound professional judgment, especially in interactions with administration, colleagues, families, and students. Physical Requirements: Light Work: Exerting up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Qualifications: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA accredited university required. Active Illinois Professional Educator License with Speech Language Pathologist endorsement required. Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred. School based experience preferred. Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP compliance, and special education procedures required. Schedule: Full time and part time opportunities available. School hours typically 8:00 am to 3:30 pm and vary by district location. Onsite positions in the south suburbs of Chicago. Employment Options and Compensation: Hourly rate ranges from $60.00 to $70.00 per hour W 2 employee and 1099 independent contractor options are available. Final rate determination will reflect licensure status, prior school based experience, and employment structure selected.
