Description Assess patients of different age groups including pediatric, adult, and geriatric using both standardized tests and observational techniques to gauge their needs. Craft individualized treatment plans that target immediate goals while also addressing longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements. Deliver personalized speech therapy focused on various areas such as communication skills, language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions. Collaborate effectively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care. Conduct educational sessions for patients and families to reinforce progress outside clinical settings. Contribute to inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as necessary to uphold consistent care throughout the treatment process. Ensure precise and timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards. Engage in continuous education and peer-to-peer learning to stay abreast of current trends in the field. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA. Certifications Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
