Job Details Estimated Weekly Salary: $1830-$1930 Assignment Type: Travel Contract (Travel Nurse / Travel RN) Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 - Ohio State University area Unit: Perianesthesia (PACU) - 4 Rhodes / Doan Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 - July 20, 2026) Shift: Night Shift - 3x12 Hour Nights (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule Patient Ratios: 2:1 Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50 Qualifications / Job Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care RN experience (Perianesthesia RN preferred) Active RN license - compact or Ohio state license required at submission Graduate of an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred) Level 1 Trauma experience preferred (trauma PACU experience a plus) Proficiency with electronic charting systems and documentation Two professional references (one from a manager, director, or formal leader) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia care and monitoring for adult and geriatric patients (post-op, post-anesthesia) Assess and manage airway, ventilation, and pain; care for ventilated patients and manage conscious sedation Recognize and manage dysrhythmias, administer blood products, and manage central lines and IV vasopressors Utilize pain assessment tools and manage PCA pumps and multimodal analgesia Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including anesthesia, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response Participate in unit self-scheduling, maintain compliance with facility policies, and support quality improvement initiatives Why This PACU Travel Nurse Opportunity?
