Seeking experienced Registered Nurses with IR, Cath Lab, or PACU background for a 26-week travel contract. California RN license, BLS & ACLS required. Job Details Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,810 - $2,960 Location: Sacramento, California (Zip: 95816) - Sacramento, CA travel nursing opportunity Contract Length: 26 weeks (April 20, 2026 - October 19, 2026) Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (09:30 - 18:00) Employment Type: Travel, On-Site - Travel RN assignment Job Requirements / Qualifications Active California RN license (required at time of submission) BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or American Red Cross) in hand at submission At least 3 years recent, relevant RN experience - Interventional Radiology, PACU, or Cath Lab preferred Experience with recovery care for deep organ biopsies and angiography (angio cases) highly preferred Epic charting experience preferred - experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems a plus Ability to provide accurate 7-year work history verification and two professional references obtained within the last year Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing Willingness to cover rotating call nights/weekends and varied weekend coverage Key Responsibilities Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment used in interventional procedures Prepare patients and assist physicians during diagnostic and image-guided invasive procedures (angiography, biopsies, drainages) Provide peri-procedural and post-procedural care in both the Interventional Radiology suite and recovery room Deliver patient education on procedures, medications, contrast media, and aftercare to reduce anxiety and improve outcomes Maintain sterile technique, monitor vital signs, and recognize peri-procedural complications Complete routine and priority documentation and tasks within established departmental time frames Why Join This Sacramento Healthcare Team Opportunity to advance interventional radiology nursing skills in a collaborative, high-acuity setting Work a 26-week travel nursing contract in a vibrant California city - Sacramento nursing jobs and California healthcare opportunities Competitive weekly pay for experienced IR RNs and Travel RNs Enjoy the chance to grow your career as an interventional radiology nurse while experiencing everything Sacramento has to offer - urban amenities, parks, and a lively arts scene.
