DetailsClient Name Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center University Hospital Job Type Travel Offering Nursing Profession Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty PCU Job ID 36073095 Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU Weekly Pay $2107.0 Shift DetailsShift Nights - 3 x 12 Scheduled Hours 36 Job Order DetailsStart Date 05/04/2026 End Date 08/03/2026 Duration 13 Week(s) Job Description ROLE - SPECIALTY Registered Nurse - Abdominal Transplant / Stepdown (PCU) Requirements - Active Ohio RN license (must have license in hand at time of submission) - BLS - ACLS - Minimum 2 years RN experience - Strong Stepdown/PCU (MS/Tele/IMC) background required - Experience with transplant, renal, or other high-acuity medical patients preferred - Key clinical skills include: - Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management - Advanced respiratory support: BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC - IV insulin protocols and insulin drip management - Cardiac and vasoactive drips (including titration) - Central line and PICC care/management - Blood product administration - Post-transplant care (renal and liver) - Post-procedure recovery (e.g., kidney biopsy, paracentesis) - Experience with EPIC charting required Roles & Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult abdominal transplant patients and high-acuity medical cases. - Monitor and manage complex patient conditions in a stepdown/PCU setting. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. - Administer medications, treatments, and perform interventions as prescribed. - Educate patients and families regarding post-transplant care and recovery process. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
