About the job Senior Water Resources Engineer RS&H is seeking a self-motivated, experienced and progressive Aviation Water Resources Engineer to help airports meet regulatory requirements, complex engineering challenges and future weather conditions in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We need a Senior Water Resource Engineer for our office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.The OpportunityMultiple positions are available within our Aviation Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency (ESR) Service Group. As one of the leaders in the ESR group, you will be integral to the development of internal and external client relationships and business development activities; expand relationships within the existing RS&H aviation network; maintain thought leadership, and support the development of new aviation client relationships.We need experienced engineers who can plan, permit and design stormwater management facilities for airports nationally. As stormwater projects are fully integrated with other large infrastructure improvements (e.g., runways, ramps, terminals, etc.), you will be the liaison between the regulator, the RS&H infrastructure design team and the client, facilitating the development of compatible best management practices, preparation of permitting documentation (e.g., wetland impacts, floodplain loss determination, construction, industrial stormwater discharge criteria, etc.), development of deicer runoff management systems, evaluating climate change impacts and adaptation plans and all other activities associated with planning, designing and constructing the recommended stormwater improvements.Qualifications:See above detailed description.Bachelor or master's degree in civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.Professional engineering registration (home state) with the ability to gain in multiple states.Travel within United States at approximately 25% of the time.Exposure and understanding of likely climate change effects on infrastructure and stormwater management systems.Modeling/Design Software Knowledge:Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)AutoDesk (Civil 3D, SSA, Hydraflow)ArcGIS (extensions including 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, ArcHydro a plus)SWMM (EPA, XP, PC)HEC Software (RAS, HMS, etc.)ICPRWater Quality models (e.g. SWMM, QUAL2K, WASP, etc.)Benefits:Holiday PayPaid Time Off401KMedical and DentalExcellent Pay
