Natural Gas Risk Analyst

Key ResponsibilitiesProduce daily P&L and risk reports; analyze drivers of changes and communicate results to traders and management.Monitor and explain exposure across various regional portfolios.Ensure accurate trade capture, reconciliation, and lifecycle maintenance.Enhance reporting, risk models, and processes through automation and system improvements.Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support commercial decisions.Collaborate across functions and global offices to ensure accuracy and compliance.On-site presence in Houston is required.Key Skills and ExperienceDegree in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Economics, Engineering, Math, or related field).Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and analytical ability.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Python, or VBA is highly desirable.Knowledge of risk metrics (VaR, Greeks, stress testing) and valuation methodologies a plus.Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across teams.Demonstrated interest in commodities (especially energy) and/or financial markets.Entrepreneurial mindset with ambition, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
