Traveling MillwrightPay: $29-35/hr.Shift: Day; extensive travel, weekend work, and OT as necessaryDescription:The Traveling Millwright is responsible for traveling to customer sites to install and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This position requires someone with extensive Conveyor installation experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, be able to diagnose and solve problems, and be comfortable working independently and in a team environment. Further, candidates must have the ability travel for extended periods of time, work weekends, and overtime as necessary.Requirements:High School degree preferred Current, valid driver's license with a safe driving history Minimum of 3 years experience; Journeyman Millwright certificate or equivalent preferredAbility to pass a standard weld test preferred Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of formsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsDeadline and detail-orientedRigging experience is a plusAbility to travel frequently overnight and on weekendsRequired Skills and Physical Demands:Performs all work in a timely manner as designated by the Site Foreman Accurately completes projects, paperwork, and timesheets, submitting items as required Safely uses all equipment, such as welding guns, tools, overhead cranes, forklifts, etc. Works with limited supervision and in a clean and organized mannerMaintains professional conduct at all times, particularly when at customer sitesMust be able to complete the essential functions of this position: stand, walk, climb, crouch, stoop, kneel, and bend Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at a time on a regular basis Operating tools, performing mechanical or skilled trade tasks Ability to weld at heights and tight spaces preferredJob Duties:Travel to various job sites to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipmentDisassemble, move, and reassemble machinery and equipmentAlign and level machinery and equipmentDiagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problemsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsMaintain a safe and organized work areaWork individually or on a team to execute repairs or installationsPerform all work in accordance with safety rules and procedures, such as OSHA, federal, state, and local regulationsPerform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the Site ForemanBenefits:Health / Dental / VisionCompany-Matched Retirement PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time Off (PTO)
