Job Type Full-timeDescriptionGeneral SummaryThis position presents and sells solar panel products and services to customers, developing newsales and leads from viable prospects who are sourced via cold calls, visits, and follow-ups frommarketing campaigns.Duties and Responsibilities1. Sales (70% of the time)a. Follows system designed by Management designed around CRM for how leads are trackedb. Qualifies leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunitiesc. Contacts potential clients through cold calls and emailsd. Presents the company to potential clientse. Identifies client needs and suggests appropriate products/servicesf. Builds long-term trusting relationships with clientsg. Proactively seeks new business opportunities in the marketh. Sets up meetings or calls with clientsi. Reports to Senior Account Executive on weekly sales resultsj. Stays up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans2. Marketing and Administrative (30% of the time)a. Prepares presentations, proposals, and sales contracts via phoneb. Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledgec. Prepares paperwork to activate and maintain client informationd. Manages account services through quality checks and other follow-upse. Identifies and resolves client concernsf. Prepares a variety of weekly status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, andadherence to goalsg. Communicates new product and service opportunities, special developments,information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staffi. Participates in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketingevents3. Constantly drives for continuous improvement within the department4. Performs in a manner consistent with company core values5. Maintains the strictest confidentiality6. Provides excellent customer service, for both internal and external customers7. Follows all OSHA and other safety guidelines8. Actively demonstrates teamwork at all times9. Adheres to company safety standards at all times, such that no serious (requiring medicalattention) injury occurred during the prior 12-month period10. Follows other policies and procedures such as no verbal or written warningsduring the evaluation periodRequirementsMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required1. High school degree or equivalent required; Bachelor's preferred2. At least 2 years experience in outside sales, preferably product & service, B2C3. Intermediate-level skill in the use of computer and software, including Word, Excel, Outlook,and PowerPoint4. Ability to learn position-specific software packages5. Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness6. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision7. Ability to be persuasive over the phone8. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures,and policy instructions9. Ability to write routine reports, and general business correspondence10. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, vendors, or customers11. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using wholenumbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent aswell as to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such asdiscounts, interest, freight, and percentages.12. Skilled in time management13. Skilled in multitasking14. Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include but are not limited to:walking; bending; pushing; pulling; sitting for extended periods at a desk using acomputer, phone, and headset; and occasionally lifting and carrying items that mayweigh up to 25 pounds15. Position spends approximately 90% of the time sitting at a desk and 10% standing or walking16. Vision and hearing must be within or correctable to within normal range17. Must possess a current, valid driver's license for the state of residence18. Must be able to travel overnight occasionally to trade showsSalary Description base pay + commission
